As lovers of travel, Ilona and Brandon have collected many trinkets from their visits to countries near and far over the years. When it came to choosing a TV unit for their living area, Ilona and Brandon where after something that would do more than simply hold a television screen. They wanted a space where they could also display their collection of trinkets, which tells the story of their travels. The space that they had available was limited to one wall, so they wanted something that would fit in well and provide ample space to curate their display.
When choosing the right TV Unit model, it became clear that Ilona and Brandon would benefit from features belonging to different models. Therefore, we created a personalised unit, taking elements from two models – Stack and Visualise. We replaced the flat panel door of the base unit with a modern classic door and added a glass double-door unit which lent a contemporary feel to the design.
By combining these two units, we were able to provide ample storage space for Ilona and Brandon to display their collection. The glass double-door unit also features built-in lighting which allows their trinkets to be visible, night and day.
Ilona and Brandon’s personalised model meets all the necessary functions of a TV unit, while also adhering to the minimal and elegant style of the room. Most importantly, however, the unit provides them with the space to share a part of themselves, their life, and their history. As their collection grows and changes over the years, the chosen unit will be able to hold more memories due to the large amount of storage space available.
